Springboard for young musicians
music@cetera promotes young musical, artistic and academic talents by bringing them together with renowned figures from various disciplines. These unique projects make a considerable contribution to the future of culture. Amongst these projects is our springboard-project ‘ClassicPeople’ which supports young talents up to the age of 35.
What happens in ClassicPeople?
Musicians (all instrumentalists and singers) can apply for ClassicPeople and become part of a continually growing, forward-thinking network. Engagements are formed through connection with other members, sponsors and by the collaboration with music@cetera (including new ensemble formations) which develop into unique theme-oriented concerts. Members of ClassicPeople may participate in different workshops from the theme laboratory (free of charge), organised by music@cetera and the sponsors. Together with participants from other fields of expertise, themes are developed, leading to innovative and interdisciplinary performance concepts.
Who can apply?
We warmly invite musicians who would like to broaden their typical concert engagements to apply to ClassicPeople. Membership is free of charge. Young prizewinners from national and international competitions are also welcome. A completed music degree is not required. Members of ClassicPeople will be selected by an extended team from music@cetera. Already existing ensembles may contact us directly with a theme proposal at firstname.lastname@example.org.
